Welcome home, Hoshi!

Today, after class, Kyle and I drove to Delaware, OH, to pick up our new puppy. Hoshi is a 8 week old Lab / Golden Retriever mix. After signing all of the paperwork, an employee at Canine Companions for Independence brought him to us. He was very timid, and calm. Not afraid of being pet or handled, but quite cautious. After a tour of the facilities, while holding the puppy, we said goodbye to CCI, and head back home.
On the way home, Hoshi was yawning nearly continuously, and nearing the end of the half hour drive, he was practically asleep on my lap as Kyle drove.
His demeanor changed rapidly after we got inside. He perked up, adventuring through the dining room and living room, investigating his new home. His favorite toys so far are a tennis ball and a tasty bone. Watching him chase the ball around is one of the most adorable things I have ever seen; just about on par with newborn goats bouncing around.
Even though we've been playing with him constantly since coming home a few hours ago, he surprisingly has not yet crashed. Hopefully this means that he will be docile tonight.
